Gearbox Time

Danny 2 Dinners came over we ripped the gear box out of the shovel.

 Dibs gonna tear it down for me while i am laid up hopefully  get back to it before long.
Just got to sort the rear mudguard out and maybe stick the springers on for now.

Danny got the frame back from Roger, nice job, he rebuild it over Christmas no turkey for him.

DANNY ALEX AND I TOOK A TRIP UP TO SEE BENNY AT BONESHAKER CHOPPERS TODAY.
COOLEST WORKSHOP, TEA, CAKE,  CHOPPERS AND BOBBERS A PROPER DAY OUT.

THEN SHOT BACK DOWN THE MOTORWAY TO LEIGHTONS WORKSHOP FOR PIZZA BEER AND A LOOK AT EDDIES NEW RIDE, ALL GOOD

 THE STOCKERS A MORE INTERMIT GATHERING, BEER PIZZA CHEESE AND CRACKERS, NICE... GOOD TO SEE GEORGE AS WELL

This is me sad face today went to take the Shovel for a spin nice crisp day went to kick it over and the start crank shaft snapped !!!

TODAY WAS A START UP DAY

Spent the day charging and starting the stable today nice dry day cold but got the ironhead finished took it for a run and thought would start the rest...at the same time next door wasn't that pleased!!! 

MAYBE ONE OF THE LAST DAYS TO GET OUT

FEW OF US GOT OUT SATURDAY TOOK A TRIP TO SEE EDDIE, NICE TO CATCH UP WITH HIM , COULDN'T TEMPT HIM OUT DOMESTIC DUTIES CALLED.

HAD THE SHOVEL OUT, RUNNING OK NOTHING FELL OFF OR BROKE SO A GOOD ENDED UP AT THE ENGLISH ROSE FOR A QUICK ONE, AND A TEAR UP HOME NOT MANY MORE SUNNY DAYS  I GUESS

DANNY'S TRIBSA FINALLY WENT FRIDAY TO A NEW HOME, THINK WE WILL SEE IT ABOUT HE HAS ANOTHER BUILD ABOUT TO GET UNDER WAY DONT THINK ITS BRITISH ?

Another day by the side of the road

Nice day Saturday Danny and I thought it would be good to pop over to Oxford to see Leighton only made it to the M40 junction float snapped in the carb, carb filled with fuel bore washed the engine bit hairy lucky it didn't catch alight, game over had to call Alex to come out in the love pickup ended up sitting the garden with a few beers.

 Had right result with these item 71 iron head frame with a tank seat and a set of bars and the 3 over springers brand new still got some of the plastic covering on never fitted think Danny has a eye on the frame and the springers are what i really wanted for the shovel thats my winter build taken care off.

ANOTHER CONVERT TO THE DARKSIDE

ROSS JUST BOUGHT THIS SWEET 84 IRONHEAD PAID A REAL FAIR PRICE FOR IT HAS SOME NICE BITS ON IT HAS HAD A LOAD OF SPARES THROWN IN ON THE DEAL CRANK, BARRELS ETC. 

IT NEEDS A FEW BITS DOING BUT HE IS MORE THAN CAPABLE THERE HAS BEEN A RIGHT OLD BUYING SPREE WITH US LATELY DANNY TWO DINNERS  BUYING AN EVO THOUGHT THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. I BOUGHT THE 78 IRONHEAD ALEX BOUGHT A 82 IRONHEAD AND NOW ROSS!! MUST BE SOMETHING IN THE WATER IN OXFORD???

THEN THERES DIBBLE LOOKING AT A U.  FUCK ME WE MUST HAVE ABOUT FORTY BIKES BETWEEN THE FIVE OF US. NEED TO GET A T.V !!!!

ROSS WORKS AT DIBBLES AUTO SHOP AS A MECHANIC HE HAS  BEEN WITH DIBBLE SINCE HE WAS 16, JUST TURNED 21, WHEN HE PASSED HIS BIKE TEST HE SAID HE JUST WANTED TO DO IT FOR WORK, CARS ARE HIS THING, WE TURNED HIM.

HE  CAME TO THE STOCKERS  TEA PARTY WITH US BORROWED MY SPORTSTER NOW HE WONT HAVE TO.

SHOVELHEADS BACK ON THE ROAD AT LAST BEEN A LONG TIME COMING

DANNYS DAD ROD DID A REWIRE JOB IT WAS A REAL MESS AND I GOT HOLD OF A SU CARB THAT CAME OF A RUNNING SHOVEL, SORTED IT RIGHT OUT IT  STARTS VERY EASY NOW, EVERY TIME

WENT OUT SATURDAY PUT ABOUT 60 MILES ON IT AND TURNED IT OF AND STRAIGHT AWAY RE STARTED IT SECOND KICK

IT'S SO EASY TO KICK YOU CAN DO IT FROM ON THE BIKE NONE OF THIS LAUNCHING YOURSELF INTO SPACE TO PUSH IT THROUGH.

HUAL'S ON REALLY WELL, IT DONT STOP SO GOOD!!!

ALAX AND DIBBLE WENT TO THE OLD TIMERS RALLY IN HOLLAND LAST WEEK END ALEX ON THE 52 PAN AND DIBBLE ON HIS CHIEF WHICH HE HAS JUST FOUND OUT IS A 38 ENGINE IN A 48 FRAME, THINK I GOT THAT RIGHT PLEASE NO SMART ARSE'S POINTING OUT BUILD YEARS AND A FRAME TYPES.
