ALEX STOCKERS PAN





Todays been a funny old day Danny Two Dinners  and I set off around tenish to catch up with Alex he has got his pipes back for the pan and had got the sissy bar made up he as fitted a foot clutch and jockey shift!!!! he,s got balls, Hot Rod Trevor was there on welding duties, i don't know why they call him that it maybe its to do with the fact he's a shit hot welder or maybe his wife calls him that?

COOL AS FUCK

We stuck around had a cuppa then shot back to mine to get my a10 to run it over to Rods Danny's dad he was going to sort the wiring out on it some chimp had had ago before i got it, we were leaving that and picking up Capt Kevs A10 to bring that back to mine it had been there having the dyno overhauled had another cuppa the wind was harsh today, we set of all going well got about two miles from mine and it starting back firing like a bitch pulled up and the general censuses was it had a stuck or bent valve, 

We got it on the ramp and pulled the head off and it was a bent valve we had bought some new followers for it from Ebay they were shite we had a real trouble with them ended up having two sets from the guy Effing rubbish, they weren't cheap either looks like one of them nipped up and locked the exhaust valve open, we ened up pulling the barrels and changing the offending followers out i had a valve in stock so set to and few hours and a bit swearing later it was back together

It was only 4pm by this time so we thought we would have look at the Shovel went down the lock up put the A10 inand  took the shovel out, it started second kick so thought fuck it, locked up and we both took off we just cain`ed it round the ring road it's a beast when it's rolling

Ran it for about 40 minutes then took it back to the lock up, stopped it but would the bitch restart Nope, so chucked it back in the lock up and took my Bobber out, called in at Boons for tea and Cheese Cake , not a bad day after all rode four differant bikes broke down on one, repaired it and had Cheese Cake

Been working on getting the shovel running its been at my mate Dibbles Auto Shop he has re-timed it and set it up, he said he is glad to see the fuckling back of it, he has two himself? bit unfair....seems to run sweet  just wont start when hot, hoping to get a ride in on sunday i think it needs a long run its been sat two years , going to be cool as..

                Also got some original Spitfire pipes of EvilBay will just finish the BSA Bobber off a treat.

 

Gonna catch up with Alex at the weekend as well get some more shots of his Pan build will be good to see that comong together, Danny Two Dinners is the spanner man for Sunday

Got out on Saturday with Danny and Al and Adie tripped into Oxford and over to Ed`s good to see  him again, we talked Norton for a bit then  settled in a pub in town then  had a tear up back home cold but a good ride out nice to give the bikes some legs Danny two Dinners was on his Tribsa did fucking well keeping up, only one bit fell off this time a tappet cover came off hit me in the chest, though i had been shot, last time out on the way back from the English Rose at midnight the chain came off and nearley took my head off, i am not riding behind him anymore fucking bikes out to get me!!!

Had a good day today  Sunday Dibble had got the shovel running Al took it for a spin round the block needs a little tickle here and there but hauls well, got some grunt 1440 stroker.. Will be nice to get some miles on it

 

Good to get the shovel running been dorment for nearly a year with one thing and another need the weather.

Caught up with Al Stocker today his pan bobber is coming on got the bars on and the sissy bar sorted waiting the his mate to do the pipes, going to be nice when its done, aiming to have it ready for the Stockers Tea Party 

Went to see the other monkey dibble he's bought another bike 1958 500 Norton single real nice price would have had it my self

Belt drive all fitted and ready to roll on the bobber 

Got all the parts back at last a few nights ago, spacers cover and stuff got the belt drive locked down about 9pm fired up the bike everything looks sweet belt running true just need to get the time and get out on it hopefully at the weekend we want to give kev's A10 a good run as well, but looks like the weather is going to be shite,

Went to the bike show at Alexandra Palace on Sunday to the Back Street Heroes bike show was a good day out some nice rides normal amount of cookie cutters very nice but not my type of thing some really nice pans and a few british iron which is real nice to see, Harley's are cool i own two but its good to see the british stuff coming in, to many triumphs, other makes are available!!

Tried to blag a copy of Back Street Heroes cause my bikes in it this month but had to buy it  issue 336





Had a few more trips round the show and thought about lunch
We then shot over to the Ace Cafe on the way home for a beer and chips its was rammed the good weather had bought a few out some nice A65's turned up and a Tbird lovely stuff

Had a real good day.

Kevs old smoker back together and running a treat. Got to get a few miles on it before the tea party normal story some twat bodged a few bits before Kev got it nice little bike now thanks to D2D been a bit of a hoot as well.

D2D has his T bird on the ramp now bit of general fucking about and overdue sorting out, it never ends.

Got the spacers from Bob Newby today so everything fits nice now, have just mocked it up to see how it will run, waiting on the spacer from roger for the outer case, that will be tomorrow so hopefully running Saturday and out for a little spin

                                     

Got the cases back Roger did a great job just waiting on the some more spacers for the front pully, the pully has some  movment no the shaft front to back about 2 to 4 mm Bob Newbey has been great going to turn me a couple of new ones up, the kit he sent is for a BSA A10 also for some reason the front pully is catching the outter housing so we are making up a 8mm spacer to give it enough room.

He say`s he has never had it before i cant see that the crank rod end is any longer than normal, so kinda stuck at the moment was hoping to have it all done and back on the road today but the spacers havent turned up fucking postal service like living in a third world country.

We were invaded last night by the screaming two stoke demons, Boons Night Riders Two Stoke Menace like vampires only come out after dark and like magicians fucking disappear when there is work to be done.

Did another few hours on Capt Kev`s A10 last night  got the followers sorted we had to take a few thou of each of the outters it was the second set we had from the supplier dont know why thay are so hard to get hold off, meant to be British made total crap!!

Danny had refitted the Barrels i got the rocker box sorted and ready to go back on.

We have also sorted out the front end Kev hasnt had the bike long and with him being away fighting for Queen and Country he hasnt had time to sort it who ever had it before him had put the wrong size tyre on the front and put it on back to front Dan had a tyre that was better than what was on there so we put that on and hopfully we will get the front end back togther this week

the whole thing needs a rewire sombody had wired it using household flex!!!!

Took my BSA  Bobber case`s to the Roger the guy whos going to machine them down for me so the Newbey belt drive  is exposed great bloke understood the job staight away, looking forward to getting that back together and giving it a spin out thats if we dont all freeze to death first.
